PrattMWP
alumnus Johnathan Doucette crafted a sixty-second online commercial spot promoting the cause of saving our nation’s flagship. "I was motivated to create the video 'The Vision' to help spread the word that the SS United States is far too special and unique to be forgotten. While she is still here with us, we must come together with a vision to see her restored so that she can enter a new chapter of her life," said Doucette.

A nationwide call for artists was issued in August seeking Associate
Designers who are professional visual artists, and Student Designers who
are undergraduate and graduate level artists, to supplement the pool of
“Master Designers” currently under contract in the four-year-old program.
Communications Design Assistant Professor Cynthia Koren used the
competition as a class assignment. Each student was required to submit a
coin design depicting the founding of Jamestown along with a portfolio
of his or her best works. The student’s ability to draw as represented
in their portfolios was an important part of the judging criteria.
“The Mint was very impressed by all of our students’ submissions,” Koren
said. “It’s really remarkable that out of the four students chosen, two
of them are ours.”

University, and Cazenovia College. The mission of the exhibition is to
create a venue where college art students can put their creative
energies to use by exercising their first amendment rights.

Faith Furniture
In conjunction with the College Town Project, a collaborative effort of nine area colleges, PrattMWP students offered their time and talents to a local non-for-profit, Faith Furniture. PrattMWP students reconditioned several small pieces of furniture that was then given to Faith Furniture, which provides furniture to the needy in the community.
