PrattMWP Professor at Michael Steinberg Fine Art

Blow-Up, Paskow's first show at the Michael Steinberg Fine Art Gallery will be on display from September 19th through October 14th, 2008.

Paskow's current work is a visual representation of the relationship between the material world of objects and people and the ordeals that rupture this experience. Her collages are physical manifestations of this artistic creed: her use of high-gloss fashion magazines, in sun-drenched colors and unpredictable compositions, fused with materials such as burst steel and concrete set Paskow’s collages apart in a significant way; her materials are not merely the technical ingredients, which formulate her compositions but they also become materials that contribute to the conceptual philosophy of her work. Paskow herself explains her work as "a search to construct a narrative of self amidst the shattered fragments."
